The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) is a trade association that leads the effort to advance medical technology to achieve healthier lives and healthier economies around the world. AdvaMed also serves as the project lead of the Medical Device Regulatory Convergence Project (MDRC), working with AU-NEPAD, the AMA, the Africa Medical Devices Forum (AMDF), the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the African Organization for Standardisation (ARSO) to build capacities to strengthen medtech regulatory infrastructure, increase medtech supply chain resiliency, broaden global medtech geographic diversity and footprint, and better prepare for future health emergencies across the continent.
